Why do You Play in Bars?

How we identify.
We are a professional private event band, and most of our work is at wedding, corporate, and private events. The main reason we play in bars/clubs is so that private event clients (mostly future wedding couples) can experience us in a real setting – a room full of strangers that we work to get on the dance floor.  This is far more authentic than a studio showcase – which is very generic and sterile (no room to dance, not a real audience, no booze!).

And even though we are not a bar band, we do love the energy of a night club and live audience.

Why Clubs?
Playing in a club is more true to playing at a wedding – we read the room, play to the crowd, and instigate a dance party. It can be much harder to do in a bar as lots of folks are often too shy to cut loose, or are there to preview us and not in a dancing mood until they can unwind and enjoy a night out.  At weddings and private events, your attending guests are there to PARTY – so they come in read to let loose and enjoy the event.

Feedback!
The most common comment in reviews by our wedding couples  is “the dance floor was packed all night”! A huge part of our training ground has been playing in clubs. That’s where you learn how to ‘read the room’.

So why not just hire a bar band and spend less?
Because a professional private event band knows the ins and outs of how to run a wedding.  And make no mistake, the band is central to the flow of the entire party.  We act as your MC, direct and entertain your guests during every moment that isn’t spent dining or toasting.  Only a professional and experienced private event band knows how to do this from years of experience.
